The Adventure

Day 1

Lochs,Castles and Seafood

Our journey begins as we drive to the west coast and through some stunning scenery till we arrive at the beautiful little town of Inverary. Here we visit the beautiful Inverary Castle and the home of the Duke of Argyll. Continuing westwards we visit Kilmartin Glen and one of the most important archaeological sites in the highlands before continuing to the harbour town of Oban. After a brief orientation, there is free time to enjoy this beautiful little town before we head for our first evening meal and a taste of local seafood.

Day 2

Island Hopping and Footsteps of Saints

After a good nights sleep, we begin our first sea journey today as we board a ferry to the isle of Mull and the Inner Hebrides. As we travel through Mull we see an Island of high mountains, incredible vistas and remote villages. This is the home of the sea eagle and otter and we may spot them as we travel towards Iona. We visit a favourite picnic spot where the Royal Family used to land when they sailed the coasts on the Royal Yacht Britannia before heading to learn about weaving on the islands and meeting some Highland cows. Our final stop is the small harbour inlet of Fionnphort where we take the ferry to the small island of Iona.

Day 3 
Saint Columba, Sailing and beaches

Waking up on Iona is truly something special as the island slowly comes to life with the dawn of the new day. We take a short guided tour through the island b and to some of the most beautiful spots in the inner Hebrides and in the footsteps of the Scottish Colourists. Our afternoon sees us head out onto the waves in a beautiful sailing vessel for a trip around Iona's coastline and getting close to wildlife before we nestle into a small cove and have a picnic lunch. Evening at leisure.

Day 4

Staffa ,Puffins, Freedom

Today we set forth out into the Atlantic to the "Uamh Binn" the "Cave of Melody' or as known to many Fingals Cave, a true geological wonder that takes us back some 50 million years. On reaching the island we disembark and enter into the incredible basalt cave and where you can hear the slightest whisper such are the acoustics. As Walter Scott wrote "One of the most extraordinary places I ever beheld. It exceeded in my mind every description I had heard of it"

Free time to explore the island and have a picnic lunch while watching beautiful, comical Puffins.

Day 5

 Geology  & History

Leaving beautiful Iona late morning we begin to make our way across Mull and into the incredible landscape and get closer to the incredible Geology that makes these islands so fascinating. We head out along the western coastline taking in the incredible views before reaching our stunning location for the next two nights and a chance to relax, wander the beautiful landscape or even dip your toes in the fresh Atlantic.

Day 6
Wildlife & Whisky

We begin the day with a wildlife experience in search of Mulls great sea eagle. Our wildlife adventure will take us out to the coast and the haunt of the otter, the golden eagle and other elusive wildlife. We will picnic in a beautiful place with endless views to savour and relax in the pure fresh air. After our morning adventures, it's to the only distillery in Mull and a wee dram to toast our adventures so far. Free time in the quaint, colourful town of Tobermory before heading back to our accommodation for a relaxing evening.

Day 7

Over the Sea to Skye

A beautiful drive, short ferry crossings takes us through the backroads and to the Isle of Skye. As we make our way we follow in the footsteps of Bonnie Prince Charlie to Glenfinnan where we stop and learn the tragic tale of the young Stuart Princes attempt to gain the Scottish crown for himself in 1745. We then head to Mallaig for a short ferry crossing to Armadale and the Garden of Skye. we stop at the ancient seat of Clan Donald before making our way to our very special accommodation in the middle of the Ocean.

Day 8

Jurassic Coastlines,Fariry Glens and Mountains

We begin our journey through the Isle of Skye and head towards Sligachan where we stop to take in the stunning views before we head along the western road through some of the Islands most dramatic scenery. We visit a small museum to learn about the ancient dinosaurs relics that have been discovered in Skye before heading on a walk into one of the most enchanting glens the Quirang. Lunch on your own in the delightful little harbour town of Portree and a chance to wander and explore this charming little haven.

Day 9

Up South,Eriskay Ponies

We take a journey "Up South as they say in these islands to the beautiful Islands of Benbecula, South Uist And Eriskay. We visit a local jewellery place to learn all about Hebridean Jewellery before making our way to the small Island of Eriskay and learn about the Story of Whisky Galore, the Eriskay Ponies and life on the edge of the world in this incredible Island chain.

We bare our feet and walk the soft sands of the "Traigh A Phrionnsa" the Princes beach where Bonnie Prince Charlie first set foot in Scotland in 1745 before we make our way for a tipple of whisky to celebrate our arrival in the Hebrides.

Day 10

Land of Tweed, Art, Beaches

This morning we take a short ferry crossing to the Isle of Harris and into one of the most lunar landscapes in Scotland. We drive the golden road and learn about life on the fringes of this island and how from the very land came the incredible Harris Tweed. We step onto powder-white beaches and gaze at the incredible emerald green ocean with the backdrop of the mountains merging with the sea. Late afternoon we take the high road and a drive to the North and the Isle of Lewis for two nights in the capital of the Hebrides Stornoway.

Day 11

Blue Lagoon,Standing Stones, Deserted Island

Our final day sees us visit the ancient standing stones of Callanish, an ancient broch before heading to a stunning afternoon location and a boat trip out into the Atlantic and to the Blue Lagoon. We will lunch on an offshore island and relax as we reminisce on our journey to here. We will pause and take in all around us and reflect on what made our journey so special. Tonight we have our farewell dinner and a final toast to the Hebrides and new friends.

Day 12

Tour Ends

Today we say farewell and we drop passengers off at the Airport for their short flight back to Glasgow.
