We will stop on the way for lunch in one of the little villages. Iceland is on the mid-Atlantic ridge, on 2 tectonic plates, the Eurasian plate and North American plate and the geology is fascinating.

From there we drive to the Geysir area where there are numerus hot springs , best known is Geysir, the one the area is named after and Strokkur, the one that is extremely active and spouts on a regular basis. In the Visitors centre, we will have lunch in one of the restaurants there.

From there we drive to the waterfall Gullfoss, one of Iceland´s large waterfalls, truly picturesque.

Our final stop is at a greenhouse and horse farm called Fridheimar, where we will learn about greenhouse farming and see the Icelandic horse up close, learn about it and see it in action, a horse show where all the gates and its grace is shown.
